About Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari

When an object grows old, it develops a heart of its own, becoming a tsukumogami.
Using powers granted to them by the god Saenokami, certain people take on the duty of communicating with tsukumogami and sending them home to the other side.
These people are known as Saenome.

Hyoma Kunato—heir to the house of Kunato, one of the three great Saenome clans—harbors a hatred for tsukumogami because they took away people that were precious to him.
Botan Nagatsuki—head of the house of Nagatsuki, in the thousand-year capital of Kyoto—lives with six tsukumogami that she loves as if they were her own kin.

Haunted by the past, Hyoma dispatches tsukumogami with brute force—but his grandfather, Zohei, instructs him to hear their voices and guide them.
Zohei sends his grandson to stay with the Nagatsuki family, in the hopes that he will reevaluate his perspective on tsukumogami.
Hyoma and Botan—two individuals whose attitudes toward tsukumogami could not be more different.
The two meet, and begin to live under the same roof.

Humans. Tsukumogami. This is a tale of the threads of fate that bind them together.
